If your brand isn’t reaching your target audience online, it’s probably going to die. That may sound like an oversimplification, but it’s not.

You can run all the social media campaigns and clever advertising you want, but if you are not making the connection with your target audience on the internet, it’s all for naught. So what’s the best way to get your brand the attention it so desperately needs on the web?

No matter how good your products or services are, if your brand fails to turn heads, no one is going to know about it. Here are some ideas for getting and keeping the attention you need.

1.) Invite Your Followers To Visit-

Meet your customers on your Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter accounts and give them the option to visit your website through links.

Build a solid contact list and invite them to your brand’s website with special offers and exclusive content.

2.) Build A Meeting Place-

Use your social media to focus on your followers and building long lasting and meaningful relationships with them. Don’t focus just on your products or services, instead encourage your followers to discuss and relate to your company and each other.

Become a town hall for your customers to discuss news and issues concerning your niche.

3.) Optimize Your Website-

Make sure when visitors come to your website to research your brand that the experience isn’t driving them toward your competitors. Slow or counterintuitive website designs make using them a chore.

No one is going to stick around waiting for archaic pages to load, nor will they appreciate having to grope for the right page due to poor navigation. Your visitors are going to get frustrated and click away.

Don’t help your competitors by driving traffic to them with a poorly designed and executed website.

4.) Sign Up On HARO-

HARO (Help A Reporter Out), puts reporters and sources together. They send out a newsletter which is basically just a list of media opportunities.

You can get the basic package for free, or you can opt for a subscription package starting at about twenty dollars.

You can set up different profiles for different purposes with different filters and receive alerts about new opportunities.

5.) Sponsored Facebook Posts-

If you’re in business and want to have any kind of impact with Facebook, this is pretty much the only way. Do the comparison yourself. Make a post and let it stand alone, then spend a couple of dollars on a sponsored post and compare the exposure.

Businesses simply can’t rely on organic Facebook posts anymore. You have to be ready to spend a little bit of your budget. It’s not that expensive, and the payoff is well worth it.

6.) Press Releases-

Still one of the best and fastest ways to get your content online is the press release. Some press release services even give the option for video these days, which makes a huge difference in getting viewed.

There are several options for you if you need a press release service, including PRNewsWire, MarketWire, BusinessWire, and PRWeb. Make sure your press releases are valuable and relevant for your reader, or you might be wasting your time.

7.) Make Lots Of Friends-

You need to network. Your brand needs all the friends it can get. Reach out to bloggers, especially the little guys and gals. You never know when someone who’s barely a blip today may be a major trend setter tomorrow.

Don’t drive people away because you were too much of a snob. You are not wasting your time, you’re making long lasting relationships that could lead to unexpected awesomeness.

And it’s just nice to be nice.
